A new seafood restaurant is being built near my home and I just have to stop and wonder what the sign designer was thinking when he put a dolphin above the restaurant name.
No one wants to eat a dolphin!!!!
Wouldn't a crab, shrimp, clam, octopus, salmon, catfish, or heck even a shark have been a better choice?
Dolphins are not on the top of anyone's "yummy-to-eat- fish" list. A dauphin (aka Mahi-mahi ) are quite delightful when consumed, but eating Flipper is just gross.
I'm sure the pic was not meant to advertise a new menu item, but rather to make sure everyone could identify the building with seafood. However, as mentioned earlier, crab, shrimp, clam, etc... would have gotten the same message across.
Maybe it's just me, but if I were taking the time and money to build a new restaurant from the ground up I would have gone with a more appetizing fish on the sign
